Vietnam considers the Special Economic Zone “Dubna” as a future partner
The representative delegation from Vietnam visited the SEZ «Dubna». The guests came to see both sites and watched the inside work of a modern production process and medical products of the resident plant «Pascal Medical».
In Vietnam there are various state programs for high-technologies development. But today, in order to promote the innovative products on the domestic and foreign markets, the active support of the scientific and business communities is needed. That’s why, in particular, Vietnam is a country-partner of the Joined Institute of Nuclear Research in Dubna and cooperates with this international scientific center for a long time. And now the country became interested in the partnership links with the SEZ and its residents.
«Vietnam has recently begun to invest in the Moscow region,» - the deputy chairman of the Moscow region Government, Vadim Khromov comments. «With Vietnamese capital involvement, the projects related to the production of light industry goods, agricultural products, and dairy farming are carried out. We are interested in the development of the co-projects in the Moscow region territory, and we’ll appreciate the active development of a partner cooperation in the high-tech technologies area as well».
The delegation headed by the Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Van Tung and the President of the Vietnam Atomic Energy Institute (VINATOM) Tran Chi Thanh, for the first time represented by such an expended format, visited the Special Economic Zone «Dubna». 16 representatives of the Ministry, institute, administration and science agencies of the Dong Nai (Đồng Nai) province and pharmaceutical company Bach Khang (Hanoi) were guided by the head of the scientific experimental department of Laboratory of Neutron Physics of JINR, Sergey Kulikov.
Before introducing the infrastructure and resident plants to the guests, in the SEZ Congress-center, a presentation on the special terms provided to the plants developing their projects there, took place. The deputy general manager of JSC «SEZ TIT Dubna» for investment and innovation Peter Permyakov emphasized the preferences and the active regional government aid for the investors. For example, there are various subsidies and grants from the Moscow region Government for the attractive projects, as well as the assistance in approval documents procurement.
After the presentation, the infrastructural objects of both SEZ sites, the enterprises under construction and the residents already producing innovative products, were shown to the Vietnam delegation. At the «Pascal Medical» plant the single-use syringes production process was demonstrated to the guests, this included the production process of the triple-component syringe own design. The resident has already invested about 2 bln rubles in the project.
«Today, our country is actively pursuing a policy of involving foreign investments in projects using the high-tech technologies», - the Deputy Minister of Science and Technology of Vietnam Social Republic Tran Van Tung said. «We know that the SEZ in Dubna is one of the most attractive sites for the Russian business and there are a lot of unique enterprises we met today. There are some ideas about creating similar zones in Vietnam, and the experience of Dubna will certainly be helpful. That’s why we consider this SEZ and its residents as the potential partners for further cooperation, for example, in such areas as pharmaceutics and nuclear physics technologies.»
